Event Detailed Description

Galgotias University, under its flagship Galgotias Dialogue Series, successfully organized a Startup Interaction Session with Ms. Vineeta Singh, CEO & Co-Founder of SUGAR Cosmetics, providing students and entrepreneurs an inspiring platform to engage with one of India’s most respected startup leaders. The session was organized in collaboration with the Galgotias Incubation Centre for Research, Innovation, Startups & Entrepreneurs (GICRISE) and witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and early-stage founders across disciplines.

A major highlight of the session was Ms. Vineeta Singh’s interaction with GICRISE-incubated startups, including Saivyy Technologies, Viruj Health, Cybergenix, NeuroMove, Medsakha, Wilexier, Arogya Virohan, and several others. The founders presented their problem statements, solutions, and progress, following which Ms. Singh shared valuable insights on market relevance, execution, and scalability.

She appreciated the quality, clarity, and innovation readiness of the startups and commended Galgotias University for nurturing a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem. During her interaction, she specifically acknowledged the vision of Hon’ble CEO Dr. Dhruv Galgotia in providing world-class infrastructure, incubation support, and an enabling environment that encourages students to think innovatively and build real-world solutions, thereby fostering a strong entrepreneurship mindset on campus.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Singh expressed her delight by stating that she felt as if she had “walked into heaven” upon witnessing the enthusiasm and energy of the students. She observed that many students were already generating revenue, running live podcasts, and experimenting with digital content, and described them as fortunate to be part of such a progressive institution. Engaging the audience, she asked how many aspired to become entrepreneurs and noted that nearly 40% of the students expressed interest, reflecting a significant shift in India’s youth towards innovation, risk-taking, and self-driven careers.

Sharing her entrepreneurial journey, Ms. Singh spoke candidly about the realities of building a brand in India. She addressed themes such as work–life balance, startup failures, criticism, resilience, and long-term perseverance. Speaking as a woman entrepreneur, she questioned the relevance of traditional stereotypes and emphasized that women today are confidently leading companies, managing teams, and building large brands while retaining their individuality and personal identities.

Ms. Singh also shared valuable insights on market trends and emerging opportunities, including the rise of direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, increasing brand penetration in India, new categories such as men’s grooming, and the rapid expansion of quick commerce. Using the phrase, “In a storm, even turkeys can fly,” she cautioned students against short-term hype and stressed the importance of building sustainable and scalable business models. She encouraged aspiring founders, especially in health and wellness sectors, to carefully evaluate their go-to-market channels—online, offline, or hybrid.

One of the strongest takeaways from the session was her emphasis on learning through failure. She highlighted that ideas alone have little value without strong execution, continuous learning, and persistence. Drawing from real examples, she reinforced that entrepreneurship is not taught in classrooms but learned through repeated attempts, failures, and iterations.
