Event Detailed Description
Galgotias Incubation Centre for Research Innovation Startup & Entrepreneurs (GICRISE), Galgotias University, organised an “Entrepreneurship Development Induction Program” on 14 September 2026 for students with the objective of introducing them to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, innovation, and the startup ecosystem. The program served as an engaging platform to help students understand entrepreneurship as a career pathway and encourage them to explore innovative ideas and entrepreneurial opportunities.

The induction program focused on developing an entrepreneurial mindset among students by providing them with an overview of the startup journey, beginning with identifying real-world problems and validating ideas and progressing towards developing solutions, building a business model, and creating a sustainable venture. Students were encouraged to look beyond conventional career options and understand how innovation, creativity, problem-solving, and perseverance can contribute to building successful enterprises.

During the program, students were introduced to the role of incubation centres in supporting aspiring entrepreneurs. The session highlighted how an incubator can help students and early-stage founders transform their ideas into viable startups through structured mentoring, networking opportunities, capacity-building programs, infrastructure, technical support, intellectual property assistance, and access to funding and government schemes.

The program also familiarised students with the various stages of startup development, including ideation, validation, Proof of Concept (PoC), Minimum Viable Product (MVP), market testing, customer acquisition, and scaling. Emphasis was placed on the importance of understanding customer needs and developing solutions that address genuine market problems rather than focusing solely on ideas.

An important aspect of the induction was encouraging students to participate in innovation and entrepreneurship activities available within the university ecosystem. Students were motivated to actively engage in hackathons, ideathons, workshops, mentoring sessions, startup challenges, and incubation programs to gain practical exposure and develop entrepreneurial capabilities.
